iPhone app -Vonagent

If you’re a Vonage subscriber, and have an iPhone download yourself a copy of Vonagent. I just discovered it the other day, and it’s pretty cool.

I think this app is pretty cool for a couple of reasons:

It’s really useful if you’re a Vonage subscriber. It allows you to turn on call forwarding with the flip of a switch (how many people remember to enable call forwarding before they actually leave their house?). It also gives you something pretty similar to visual voicemail for your Vonage voicemail.
The application runs ads while it’s connecting to the Vonage network. Wait, I’m saying that ads are good? They’re okay here because they happen when you couldn’t otherwise interact with the application. The developers of Vonagent are making money (hopefully) — kudos to them.

Meh. Vonage is okay. Especially when you consider that the retards are Telus (local phone company) want $40 for a phone line these days. How ridiculous is that?

I have to admit, once I went to cable internet from ADSL, Vonage greatly improved. Way better bandwidth = way better call quality.

You’re right, Vonage is only as good as your ISP allows it to be. I suppose I am irritated at Vonage simply because Shaw has been so BRUTAL for me. I finally gave up on Shaw and went back to Telus.

BTW, did you know that you can’t phone Telus internet technical support with a vonage line.
