I went for a walk with the boys today to let mom have a little time to herself (which she spent finishing destruction of the upstairs shower). The weather was gorgeous, and the ground wasn’t too muddy despite a few nighttime showers as of late.
At the risk of completely irritating my prairie-inhabiting friends and family, spring is definitely here. Reilly, of course, donned his fisherman-themed Thomas the Tank Engine jacket, and Parker kept to a light fleece. Both boys had their rubber boots on because they just can’t resist the allure of a good puddle.
We made it half-way down Edith Point before we started to lose daylight, and turned back. I was reminded that I’ve got to do that more often, now that the weather isn’t as rainy. Going for a walk sure made any accumulated tension from looming deadlines melt away.

With rain forecasted for tomorrow, and highs of 13° for Friday and Sunday, one would think spring is nearly here in this prairie city as well.
Technically speaking, of course, spring is not definitely here in either place.
Good to hear it’s been a mild winter out there Kim. I’m much more of a summer person than a winter person.
Don’t get me wrong. We were at -46° with wind chill in Jan. Until the last half of Feb, we had hardly any chinooks. It was a cold winter by Lethbridge standards. It’s nice now though.
The weather in Victoria has been rather nice the last couple of weeks - almost like Spring…Rain has been minimal - fine by me. I actually visited my sister in Lethbridge for a few days this week, the weather was chilly, but not bad otherwise. She quickly assured me that the area has seen much worse!
