It’s billed as a Canadian version of woot.com. Love the idea, it makes me sad that woot won’t ship to us.
I haven’t been able to get anything on the site to work. Today’s offer is a 2GB USB drive for $20. I tried to register and it told me it failed. So I tried to register again, and it told me that my username and e-mail address are already in use. Having not received an e-mail with my password, I tried the “lost password” function and got an error message saying that their host has disabled the mail() function.
Combine with all of these wonderful technical problems the fact that they were selling refurbished products as new for their first promotion…. My prediction is that they last about as long as they can bootstrap themselves financially.
I admire the fact that they’re able to negotiate these great deals, and they’re using Canada Post for shipping which keeps those costs low, but c’mon. Get your technical A-game on before you’re going to try something like this. As near as I can tell, there’s no way anyone can give them money right now….
